Ready to grow as a painter—no matter where you are on your artistic journey?
Each session begins with a focused 30–45 minute lesson exploring one essential element that transforms paintings, such as color relationships, luminous light, atmospheric depth, expressive brushwork, composition, texture, or creating greater emotional impact.
Then it's your turn. Bring your own representational or abstract paintings—or start something new in class—and receive personalized guidance as you paint.
Through individual coaching, demonstrations, and supportive critiques, you will solve challenges, strengthen your techniques, and discover what your painting needs to move to the next level.
Whether you're just beginning or have years of experience, instruction is tailored to your individual goals and skill level. You'll learn alongside fellow artists in an encouraging studio environment where everyone grows at their own pace.

Now that you can mix color with confidence, it’s time to see what color does inside a painting.
In this immersive 2-day workshop, we move beyond the palette into the living space of painting—where color becomes light, atmosphere, depth, and emotion. You’ll learn how to use temperature, contrast, and layering to create work that feels luminous, dimensional, and alive.
We shift the question from “How do I mix this color?” to “What is this color doing here?”
Through guided studies and expressive painting exercises, you’ll explore how color can push and pull space, shift emotional tone, and transform flat surfaces into dynamic visual experiences.
This is where color stops being something you choose—and starts becoming something you experience.
Bring the following supplies:
Oil and Acrylic Paints: Titanium White, Cadmium Yellow Light, Cadmium Red Light or Vermillion, Alizarin Crimson or Quinacridone Magenta, Ultramarine Blue, Phthalo Blue, Pthalo Green, Ivory Black
Oil Painters: Gamblin Gamsol Mineral Spirits (Odorless) only and Liquin or Linseed Oil.
9” x 12” Drawing or Watercolor paper
Oil Painters: Cover one or two sheets of paper with one or two coats of white gesso or white acrylic paint prior to the first and second class
Masking Tape Roll
Palette Knife Options: 2 metal with wood handles
