Step into a realm where absence speaks as loudly as presence.
My art invites you to journey through mystical worlds—where surrealism, abstraction, and historical Japanese motifs collide, creating immersive experiences that defy time and logic. I weave together fragmented imagery, deeply rooted in personal memory and cultural exploration of my Jewish American and Christian Armenian heritage, to craft environments that challenge perception and spark new reflections on the human experience.
Focusing on interconnectedness, environmental stewardship, and the transformative power of art, my paintings and assemblages reveal the untold stories hidden beneath the surface. Each piece is a paradox, where the unseen is as powerful as the seen, and the boundaries between past, present, and future blur into a single transformative moment.
I blend traditional materials like oil, acrylic, graphite, and clay with non-traditional media such as cardboard, branches, and pearls. This creates tension between the organic and industrial, the natural and manufactured, reflecting the delicate relationship between nature, technology, and the built environment. These materials are more than aesthetic choices; they represent the intersection of past and present, where human ingenuity meets environmental decay and ecological renewal.
My exploration of our shared responsibility toward the planet is not rooted in dystopia, but in a call to action—offering a glimpse of an alternative future where cultures and nature can thrive together.
Through my work, I capture the fragility and resilience of our world in a single, evolving narrative that challenges us to rethink our relationship with the land, sea, and air and one another. My art serves as a visual invitation to reimagine what lies beyond the veil of reality, creating spaces for healing, connection, and collective responsibility.
With each brushstroke and installation, I lay the foundation for new possibilities, asking: What will we leave behind, and what can we reimagine together?
